Ingersoll Rand – I was recruited for a tech start up division after the division I worked for was spun off and shut down, I built a team from scratch to service every turbine installation across the West Coast first and then the US to establish long term procedures and processes that drove change and profitability and motivated employees
Trane (after Ingersoll Rand merged with Trane) North American Field Service Ops Manager
Envirotower/rebranded as Evandtec- GE financed Venture Capital backed water treatment technology corporation (I was recruited as the Director of Field Service Operations to turn-around the Field Service department and to get profitable within 24 months. I did it in 14 months, by completely restructuring the Field Service department, hiring 5 new field service managers to cover North America including Canada and Hawaii, structuring contracts with 3rd party joint venture partners to seamlessly deliver world-class service driving down costs and increased profits. And we hit our goals 8 months ahead of schedule reducing the burn rate from close to $2 Million per year in losses, to profitable fast.
Evandtec – recruited by the CEO to turnaround the sales department using similar strategies (but different) for the North American Business Development team. Eventually the business was sold to investors, spun off and shut down, the new owners wanted the IP technology only.
FCE- I was recruited to jump on board, in a fast paced technical environment, to build a world-class strategic customer service organization driving profitability through massive company growth and transition strategies.
RBYB Vice-President, Board Member, of one of the largest children’s youth sports non-profit companies in the South Bay. Hired to intiate change at the Board level and to smooth out operations. (served for a year and facilitated future paths towards long-term sustainability of the business)
And all of this is just the highlights. There is no mention of my 12,000 hours of failures at funnel building, and listbuilding, or internet marketing, or the fact that I ‘ve created my own products and sold them on line successfully with my own copy and using what I’ve learned to setup winning campaigns. (By the way, anyone who says they hit a home run every single time is lying. Campaigns are a lot like VC firms. VC’s have portfolio of companies 7 out of 10 usually fail to go hyperbolic. But, that one or two that do, pay for all of the others that don’t) And marketing is a lot like that.
There is no mention on my Linkedin Profile that I have published a book on my own, and I now teach others how to do it too. You should check it out on Amazon, called “YOU NEED LOCAL MARKETING” it lays out the blue-print we follow and you can read it and follow it too, or simply hire us to do it for you.
There no mention of the internet marketing coach I hired to teach me everything he knew about internet marketing and listbuilding.
There is on mention on my Linkedin profile about how I played a significant role in co-producing two high level mastermind events last summer, with Mark Harris, in Clearwater Beach, Florida called www.speakerauthormastermind.com; and eventpromotersmastermind.com; and there is no mention yet of other more stealthy projects that I am involved with behind the scenes.
But will be announced in the future so stay tuned. There will be a case study on doing successful joint ventures afterwards. And I can’t wait to share all of the details with our clients about how we go about reaching powerful allies, how we approach them, how we help them see the visions of success we create and how we fill seats, and deliver world-class events events.
Something I learned in Jay Abraham’s Mastermind last summer, had to do with Relationship Capital and how to help others get what they need without using your connections by simply doing joint ventures. I’ve been applying what I’ve learned and amazed at the results.
There is no mention of my connections to Agora Financial, or how we literally have the world’s best copywriters ready and chomping a the bit.
I have over 22K linked connections and can reach practically anyone these days when you really strive to help others. By undrestanding what friends, colleagues and partners need, by asking the RIGHT questions you can create amazing breakthroughs for many with little efforts.
Here’s a quick example. A local high-end liqour store is in a strip mall with a nice pizzeria here by the beach. Now. Before we met them, they had no email list, or a website. And their store was always empty. But stocked to the hilt in their high rent locations. I knew that were burning cash and inventory was costing a fortune. They had facebook, but no FB likes or fans. What neither of them realized or had ever considered was that had they been building their own email lists the whole time, they could have been cross promoting Pizza and Wine delivery specials all day every day or only when it was slow.
Another local business in our area, Restaurant was facing a lease renewal and the owners couldn’t negotiate a price that allowed them to stay in business. But by using just one of the strategies we teach and deploy they had an email list of all of their customers captured two weeks before the store closed!
They were out of business, but had an email list. They started email marketing and run their business like the “Soup Nazi” on Seinfeld.
They only release their delicious sauce on their terms, and when they feel like it, You pay cash. And you have a one hour time slot to show up. If you are five minutes late, they give your order away to the people on the waiting list. And just last week, when I showed up there were people standing by, hoping someone messed up so they could get the sauce.

Another less fortunate local business (I couldn’t get to them in time). It was healthy food store right next to where I work out every day. And i loved the store. It is on a very busy street, but hard notice nevertheless and the old owners (Before they shut down) were never around.
And they never returned my calls in time, but I always noticed the same thing, not a lot of customers coming through the store to justify the super high rent payments they were making near the beach.
One day on a Saturday like any other, I showed up and the doors were locked. Another similar business came in and took their place. I tried to call and email the owner repeatedly to let them know to see if they had a list of their clients contact information (they didn’t have a list and thought email marketing was a joke) Wow. Sad. They didn’t realize that they could have sold the list, rented the list, joint venture partnered with others, or even sold the list to the new owners.
It pains me to see these things happening because business owners don’t have time to research and understand these things like someone who is deeply engaged in hand to hand combat in the marketing trenches.
Digital. And direct response marketing are a powerful weapon. And for those who don’t spend every waking hour breathing, eating, and sleeping the constantly changing strategies and technologies, they are left in the cold and shutter their doors often times unnecessarily had they just had a few simple things in place.
Some principles never change. We are all human. And human nature doesn’t change. And it’s those emotions, beliefs and direct response marketing principles that integrate into your strategic marketing plans to win the hearts and minds of your customers creating raving fans for life, word of mouth competition killers!
There is on mention of the 100’s of books that I have read on business and persuasion, copywriting, and business principles, and their is no mention about all of the online courses that I have been or currently taking now. (I am usually reading/studying a half a dozen books at a time, and applying learning principles that are applicable through the ages from cavemen/women to contemporary man/woman).
Nor the high level masterminds we attend with scrappy entrepreneurs always looking for a leg up or strategic advantage.
Why is that? Well. For one. It creates a conflict of interest and we don’t claim to be experts. Just students of the game. And two we prefer to operate behind the scenes as opposed to being a celebrity at this stage. That doesn’t interest me at all. But getting results for me and my partners does!
See. I’m a busy father, husband, business leader, business owner, and I don’t need to be out there puffin our chests out screaming, “We’re the BEST marketing agency you’ve ever seen!”
We’re not. There’s better. But we are the best local marketing agency in Torrance, California and the greater Los Angeles area, because we go out on a limb for our clients to ensure success for the long term, because we don’t hassles and heachaches, just raving fans who know us, trust us and love us.
